Rindy Jaffe is seen here adding sperm then watching Ca signals on a confocal microscope monitor which is offscreen in this movie. But YOU can see what she was saw by watching the extra monitor in the background.

Two eggs were injected with the fluorescent Ca indicator Ca Green dextran. The egg on the right is control, while the egg on the left was also injected with an SH2 domain containing peptide that should interfere with phospholipase C gamma activity. The abnormal Ca signals (corresponding to polyspermy) is evidence that sperm activates an egg tyrosine kinase that stimulates phospholipase C gamma to produce IP3. Time interval between frames was 5 seconds.
